Transfer Cylinder Covering

If the machine does come with any type of covering on the transfer cylinders, do not assume the condition of it to be good. Many printers outfit their machine with a product such as super blue. This product is not cheap and if it is still on the machine will not have been recently replaced. In addition, it may have been damaged during the disassembly and shipping of the machine. Cheaper products such as TY paper will not hold up to the transportation process.

The other thing to consider if you are inspecting the machine, and there is a covering on the transfer cylinders, such as super blue, this prevents a good inspection. You want to understand if the cylinders have been repaired or are in need of metallic transfer cylinder repair.
